The Assignment
For this project the assignment was to re-illustrate the existing Old Spice Kraken Guard deodorant in our own unique style while still remaining true to the Old Spice audience and voice. Then incorporate the illustration into the same packaging concept.
My Approach
After discussing the brief with my professor, I knew that I wanted to take a completely different approach than students had in the past and challenge myself. I specifically wanted to find a more dynamic way to incorporate the lettering into the sea floor and take on the challenge of a squid shaped monster.
