Silverback reimagines classic stories on silver collectible notes. Each piece is more than an investment, it is a chapter in a mythological tale. Silverback is where art and storytelling come together to create a more immersive experience. The silver bullion industry is saturated in history and tradition, Silverback aims to cut through that by leaning into storytelling and creativity.
02 THE CHALLENGE
Born was the storyteller, the Silvertongue.
Silverback is a brand that highly values storytelling, and you can’t tell a story without a narrator. There the Silvertongue was born, the brand's voice and narrator. They are a mysterious figure from an unknown era, with as much lore about themselves as the stories they tell. The Silvertongue brings each story to life with charm, wisdom, and a twinkle of mischief. My challenge in this project was to capture those qualities: Mysterious, Wise, and Timeless.

As I moved forward with this project, I used the persona of the Silvertongue as my northstar, keying into their immortal-like traits. They’ve been retelling these stories for since their inception many centuries ago, the retellings more muscle memory than anything. Each detail remains for a specific reason only known to the teller. I chose to go with smooth and sharpened serifs to represent how each moral shared has been honed into a pointed tale. I featured ligatures that represent the blending of details

Visual Cues to create mystery
The Silvertongue is elusive, more rumor than human. A rolling stone who’s purpose is to share their tales then disappear without a trace. I chose to focus on ways to play with lighting to create this feeling of mystery and intrigue. Using gradients, pixelation, and shadows to draw the viewer in.
